Support Provider Services

At Alzheimer's Association of Queensland our Services are available to you whether you are a person diagnosed with dementia, a family member of a person with dementia, or a health care professional, Alzheimer's Queensland is your source of information, support and assistance on issues related to Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

  • A free 24 hour/ 7 day Advice Line - 1800 639 331
  • Dementia Fact Sheets
  • Dementia Care Hub providing general to specialised information on all aspects of dementia including library, DVD, journals and research services and one on one support
  • Support groups across the State, including telelink support groups for isolated and remote clients, and online chat groups
  • Allied health services including occupational therapy, speech pathology and physiotherapy
  • We are a registered training organisation (RTO) that provides nationally accredited courses for professionals, customised seminars and professional training and development programs for health and aged care providers. Additionally Education and information programs are held for people with dementia, their carers, family and friends
  • 24 hour, emergency, overnight and weekend respite care in your home or in our secure, homely multi service centres. Organised social and recreational activities are organised for the person with dementia with professional care support
  • In-home personal care, domestic assistance, home maintenance and nursing services
  • Home environment assessments and modifications
    Residential accommodation in a secure environment and catering for people with dementia and frail aged. Facilities are based at Upper Mt Gravatt, Rosalie/ Paddington and Windsor
  • CDC Home Care Packages in Brisbane North, Brisbane South, Logan, Ipswich and Toowoomba
  • NDIS Services to support people with younger onset dementia and other progressive neurological conditions
    Community awareness programs are provided on request to local community organisations and workplaces to enhance the awareness and understanding of dementia


Research: AQ supports and funds selected dementia research programs. NOTE: It is AQ's policy not to accept grants and donations from drug companies with respect to research programs involving the effectiveness of Alzheimer drugs
