The Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) is a home-based parenting and early childhood enrichment program targeting families with young children. HIPPY is a free, two-year, home-based program for families managed by Bundaberg Baptist Family Day Care.
The first year of the program commences in the year prior to the child attending Prep (3½ – 4 years old). During the second year of the program, the child may also be attending school (Prep).

The HIPPY approach develops the foundations for learning in the home during children’s crucial early years. The benefits of the Program for children include encouraging a love of learning, it prepares children for school by developing skills & concentration, promotes language & listening and builds self-esteem & confidence. It increases the chances of a successful early school experience.
The benefits of the program for families include helping families create a learning environment at home, increases knowledge of how children learn and it allows families to enjoy fun, positive time with children.
