Positive Steps Mentoring offers unique, structured programs for young adults
with Autism, although All Abilities participants would benefit from the
opportunities offered throughout PS Programs as well.

All programs are facilitated to create a fun, interactive learning environment that
embraces friendship building skills, Positive Social inclusiveness, Community
Engagement and learning to cope with changes.

Everyone is encouraged gradually to ‘Step Out of our bubble’ and gain confidence
in their abilities to try new projects.

Positive Steps has been running mentoring programs to the Disability
Community since 2016 and proudly holds the title of becoming the ‘First NDIS
registered Sole trader in the Wide Bay area in 2017 when the NDIS roll out
began.

Five years on, we continue advancing our programs to offer exceptional
opportunities to exceptional young people in our local Community.

Food & Catering Van Program
Positive Steps announces the launch of our biggest latest venture, which is a
Licensed Food & Catering Food Van called ‘Rollin Smoko’ to the Bundaberg

Community.
This unique eight week program covers all aspects of what is involved running a
licensed Food Van and introduces participants to Food Safety, Hygienic practises,
Planning an Event, Food Preparation, Eftpos training and Customer Service.

All participants who complete the program will gain an accredited Certificate in
Safe Food Handling and relevant work skills in the Food Industry.

This Innovative program is facilitated to teach new skills that are transferable to
many areas of the participant’s lives, helping young adults to function more
independently and experience what a work environment may look like.

The outcome of this eight week program after learning all the requirements
needed, is for participants to have gained the confidence and the skills to help
run the Food Van at a local event in the Community. This Pinnacle moment is an
achievable goal for all who are willing to participate in this unique program.
