Company Details
My name is Heather Rawlins and I operate the Reading and Dyslexia Centre. Reading problems have concerned me for many years as a classroom teacher, a remedial teacher and as a special education teacher.
Reading is a very important part of our lifestyle. We need to be proficient readers to find information, to get a job we want, to be able to communicate and for enjoyment. There are many reasons why reading can be difficult instead of being enjoyable. One of these things can be Dyslexia.
If you, your partner, or your child experience a reading problem there is help available. When helping people with Dyslexia the three things that I have found useful are:
- Irlen (coloured) lenses
- Expressways to Reading (an individual computer program)
- and dietary changes
Assessment for Irlen Syndrome and provider of Specifically tinted lenses.
Johansen Individualised Auditory Stimulation provider for poor auditory processing.
The Reading and Dyslexia Centre can offer assessment for Irlen Syndrome and the provider of individually tailored tinted Irlen lenses . Irlen lenses can help with reading problems due to light sensitivity which can cause headaches and migraines.
