Community Connect - official launch

Community Connect is a tool for the whole Bundaberg community.

TO SHARE our knowledge as Local Area Coordinators for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), IWC has launched Community Connect; a website that collates and updates community information for anyone to peruse.

Community Connect’s search engine can be used to find registered NDIS service providers, whether or not you are an NDIS participant.

It also gives users access to useful resources, including a regularly updated Bundaberg Community Support Guide.

The Guide contains contact details for community organisations and mainstream services, available to all Queenslanders, right here in Bundaberg.

This information is categorised for ease of use, and is updated by our team. Over the next month, it will be integrated into the Community Connect search engine.

You can find plenty of other useful resources about the NDIS on the website, in PDF format, that you can distribute or use personally.

Most importantly for local businesses, registration is free and easy.

To register with Community Connect, visit www.iwcndis.com.au and click ‘list business’. Complete the short, online form and soon your business details will begin to appear in the search engine.

You can also access hard copies of the form online in PDF format; complete this form and send it to susan.bryans@iwc.org.au.

IWC believes in connecting disadvantaged or at-risk people to organisations that can help, and this new tool will help the whole community to do that job a little better.

It’s good to know I can get what I need, not being told when my therapies are, or where I’m going. In the past, that’s how it’s been. As I see it, the NDIS is the only way to go.
